Down Princeton street, near the Holborn tube station, is where you will find a space for both travellers and locals in search of something a little special in London.
Novelty Automation is an out of this world attraction filled with coin-operated machines tossing between pensive and sarcasm. I came here to claim a coin they were giving away on their website for free and find myself buying more due to the fun and quirky nature of the machines.
The setting only gets more interesting once the crowd steps in, turning from one machine to another, examining, thinking about what’s best to try first.
“Should I try the manmade eclipse first? Or the autofrisk that’s sure to violate my personal space? How about a microbreak which will fulfill my holiday dreams, or if I’m in the mood for a pet or meat debate, then this machine should be it. Wait, they even have a getting a divorce machine?” –here, the list is endless.
This is definitely real fun you can’t find elsewhere beneath the center of London.

Sounds like a cool activity to do ! Will make sure to write that down for my next London trip 🙂 So, what ended up being your favourite machine ?
It’s hard to choose just one. I enjoyed looking at everything but from those I’ve tried, I’d say “Test Your Nerve” made a mark. 😛
Looks like a cool idea! Pictures are good, too. Will give it a try in my next trip to London!
this is so amazing. I have never come across something similar. No doubt you ended up spending more because it’s so addictive and it surely targets your psychology of inquisitiveness. I’ll have a look during my next trip to London!
A novelty for sure. I kind of wish I knew about this place while I visited London this past Spring. It looks like it would tap into your curiosity, causing you to spend more to experience each one.I like it!
I’ve never heard of this place! I’m dying to visit London again and I can totally see myself adding this to my itinerary. I think you’re spot on – this would be a great (unique) way to spend the day if you’re a local – also!
This is fantastic! I have never heard of this, its so quirky. I am definitely pinning this for future travels 🙂

Wow that looks like a fairy tale. I would love to travel there. And your pics look really inviting.
Quite a unique activity.. even its not expensive 10 coins for 8 pounds
Ha! What a novel idea. It would be interesting a fun to visit a place like that for sure. The machines are quite funny too. Cool post!
Ha Ha Ha! What a place! I guess I could spend a whole day there , provided some one pays for the tokens 😉 The divorce machine is interesting.
This needs to be in the itinerary for London for sure. I love all the pictures and so want to visit this place now. All the machines are so interesting.
