Jane is 23, currently living with her mom and grand mom. She’s on her way to becoming a teacher, has frustrations of becoming a writer, while maintaining a regular job at a new hotel in Miami.

Life is on the right track for Jane as she also found herself a fiancé, a hard-working detective named Michael, who loves her enough to accept her well-plotted future and even her reservations on her virginity.

One day, her life turned upside down upon knowing that she is pregnant because the doctor accidentally performed the artificial insemination to her.

Formerly living a simple life, Jane’s normally quiet life has suddenly evolved into a complicated, unpredictable, and dramatic telenovela she is fond of watching.

Playing the role as Jane is one of The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top 35 Latinos Under 35,” Gina Rodriguez who is now here in Manila to promote the titular TV series.

Rising prominently since her breakout performance in “Filly Brown” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012, for which she won an Imagen Award for Best Actress, Rodriguez has been consistently giving a good performance in the new TV series, taking the TV rankings as a proof.
