“All grown-ups were once children… but only few of them remember it..”
One of my favorite books of all time is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a children’s book that affects me even now as an adult. The fantasy, wisdom, and sincerity, are all squeezed into our little boy’s story without compromising the tone and style. It’s magical; I can always reread it and come up with different takeaways every time. That’s probably the charm of our little prince.
Now I wonder if this will also be the case for Layeta Bucoy’s local adaptation, screening from November 27 until December 7 at CCP Little Theater (Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino).
Well, we can only find out as they promise to deliver a version that is fun through their use of music and shadow play/puppetry.
Tickets are at Php 600, Php 800, and Php 1000.
