Now we’ll get the chance to watch Cinemalaya 2013′s Best Picture, as GMA Films release Sana Dati in theaters nationwide.
Starring Lovi Poe, TJ Trinidad, Paulo Avelino, and Benjamin Alves.
Sana Dati follows the story of Andrea whose wedding with Robert goes astray as she encounters Dennis, the wedding videographer, and reminds her of an unresolved past.
I’ve watched this during the Cinemalaya film week and I’ve waited so long (about two months) for this to be showcased in theaters and it’s now here! Can’t wait to watch it again.
The film pulls off the simplicity and emotional depth of romance yet eschews the traditional formula of mainstream films. It will make you ache and wonder –all at the same time. It tells a simple story but what sets it apart is the way it was told and how it will make you feel.
Don’t say I did not warn you.
Sana Dati won eight awards in the recently concluded Cinemalaya Film Festival including: Best Film, Best Director (Jerrold Tarog), Best Original Music Score (Jerrold Tarog), Best Supporting Actor (TJ Trinidad), Best Sound (Roger TJ Ladro), (Jerrold Tarog), Best Editing (Pats Ranyo), Best Production Design (Ericson Navarro), and Best Cinematography (Mackie Galvez).
