After a day of island-hopping in Palaui, we were all so dead tired that setting up a tent is not an option anymore. The only consolation that comes in our mind was a good shower, a comfortable bed, an air-conditioned room, and a swimming pool to boot. So while exploring the Crocodile island, I tried contacting this resort to book for one night and luckily, we were able to do so.
So we spent one night in Jotay Resort which is approximately a one hour tricycle ride away from the San Vicente fish port.
For the price of Php 1,800 per room (good for four people) I would say that it’s a good deal, considering the amenities that this resort has, not bad if you want a relaxing place to stay at during your trip in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
The rooms are quite good (sorry I wasn’t able to take a photo as I was so engrossed with the show we’re watching read: The Voice of the Philippines). Air conditioned rooms, two soft double deck beds, clean bed sheets, spotless bathroom with hot and cold water, cabled TV –it’s like a home away from home!
They also have a beach but the islands located in Palaui are much better so I suggest you skip the one located in front of this resort and instead, take a dip at their swimming pool which is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. We arrived at Jotay around 8:30 PM of our Day 2 trip so we only get to enjoy the pool for just 30 minutes but I assure you, we had so much fun in that shortest dip of our lives, yet.
If I ever go back to Cagayan and crave for another comfortable living right after our island exploration, I wouldn’t mind going back to Jotay.
