Imagine the waitress with a tray on her right hand, trying to balance the two plates on it, each filled with 15 pieces of buffalo wings. On the side is a small cup for the dip. And some tissue.
The waitress approaches your table and carefully places the buffalo wings in front of you. You feel the vinegar aroma penetrating your nostrils. You take one piece, never mind the sauce stain on your fingers, dip it in bleu cheese, take a bite, and hear the crunchy sound of deep fried wing. You taste a splash of spice and a hint of sweetness. One bite and you’re bound to quip: SARAAAAAAAAAAAP!
For the next 20-30 minutes, bones are all that’s left.
This is possibly a typical scene at Skinny Mike’s Sports Bar every Tuesday.
And today, my friends and I were just like that.
We chose to dine at Skinny Mike’s to try their buffalo wings at 10 pesos each which was promoted on their Facebook page. Would you believe that? 10 pesos! The price is dirt cheap but it definitely tastes otherwise.
It must be bad to be priced that cheap. But come to think of it, there’s a catch. There will always be a catch for promos like this.
And now it’s up to you to figure out what that is. All I can say is that it tastes good that you won’t notice how many wings you ate.
Also, the place is a sports bar with twenty 42″ LCD TV available and some comfortable couches which makes it an ideal venue to watch your favorite games live.
If you want to avail of good seats, come early or reserve a seat ahead because the place gets crowded easily especially during peak hours.
They have things going on for other days, too: Margarita Wednesdays and Quiz night / Mojito Thursdays.
Skinny Mike’s is located just above JT’s Manukan, near S&R Taguig.
